When Grace first emailed me to enquire about help co-ordinating her wedding, I was excited to work with her and fiancé Fabio at a new venue deep in the mountains between Malaga and Granada. Having done most of the planning herself remotely and with help from the wonderful Liz Wilkinson, who kindly recommended my services, Grace just needed us there on the day to ensure everything went smoothly and to plan.
Although I don’t do many on-the-day co-ordination weddings, it’s still a privilege to be asked to come in and oversee everything and with Grace and Fabio whose boho, rustic chic wedding would be fun-filled with love and family.
I spoke to Grace periodically in the months preceding the weddings and then in depth about a month before when she had all the final details and guest numbers. We then went over everything before they flew over to Spain and I asked Grace to let all the suppliers know that I would be there on the day and that they should come to me if they had any questions or needed help.
Arriving on the morning of the wedding, I had a list from Grace of everything she wanted help with. The venue itself was a beautiful old finca in the heart of the mountains with stunning views across valley and while the ceremony and cocktail enjoyed those views, the dinner was situated in the stunning courtyard in the middle of the finca.
The couple and their family had a fabulous wedding and it was very touching to receive this email in the days after the wedding… ” I just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you did on our wedding day. It really did make a massive difference having you there and I’m so glad that Liz recommended you to me 🙂 the little touches like helping with the flowers, having a drink ready for us after the ceremony and just being around making sure everything ran smoothly really did make all the difference!”
Thank you again to Liz Wilkinson and to Chloe Thornley for these stunning photos!
