Oonagh and Alan had decided to have a church wedding in Marbella almost as soon as they had gotten engaged; after visiting for years and having family homes in the area, they knew it was the perfect place for them to have their perfect day.
Knowing lots about the area, they decided that they would need my help mainly with just the church wedding in Marbella and assistance on the day as well. With over 250 guests, they knew that logistics on the day would be ‘tricky’ as we would be moving lots of people from the centre of Marbella to their chosen wedding venue.
The couple preferred to have an English speaking priest for the wedding so that they and their guests could understand the entire service, and the wonderful Padre Luis was available to marry them and to take selfies at the altar.
When booking a church wedding in Marbella, or in another town in Southern Spain, there is a number of things to consider first. The couple must speak to their own priest and complete the paperwork first before it is sent across to Spain. Oonagh and Alan felt that having someone here in Spain to help them with everything here would make things much easier, and as we know the system, priests and the process, we could assist to make the process simple and straightforward.
Once the ceremony was finished in the church, guests enjoyed a drink at the tapas bar in the square next to the church while David de Biasi took some wonderful shots of the bridal party. We then herded, corralled and moved all guests from the centre of the old town, onto the buses waiting to take them to their chosen reception venue, Finca Villa Palma.
The reception, dinner and party was one of the most fun, with the speeches creating raucous laughter among the guests and the brilliant Quike Navarro entertaining guests during dinner.
The party then began with the Jackie Brown Band followed by Who Killed the DJ, keeping guests on the dancefoor until 5am!
